Andalucía Rally 2021

The 2nd edition of the Andalucía Rally took place from May 12 to May 16, 2021, in Villamartín (Cádiz). Specifically, both the starts and finishes were held at Hacienda El Rosalejo. The event was part of the FIA World Cross Country Rally Cup and the European rally calendar, with SEMESUR responsible for providing medical support to all personnel and riders.

The opening days, May 11 and 12, were dedicated to the Shakedown, as well as carrying out all technical inspections and checks ahead of the upcoming stages, which covered approximately 200 to 300 km per day.

Throughout the competition, spectators were able to enjoy races across the three categories of the Andalucía Rally: Auto, Moto, and Side by Side.

Auto

FIA World Cup categories: T1, T2, T3, and T4
Open: Vehicles outside FIA and Dakar regulations.

Moto

Moto/Quad: Highly experienced rally raid riders.
Enduro Cup Moto / Quad: Amateur rally raid riders (motorcycles with 120 km range).

Side by Side

Open: For side-by-side vehicles outside FIA and Dakar regulations, with a range of 120 km.

SEMESUR MEDICAL DEPLOYMENT – ANDALUCÍA RALLY

For the second consecutive year, SEMESUR was present at the 2021 edition of the Andalucía Rally.

Medical support was provided during this European rally event, involving:

• 3 ambulances.

• 8 professionals, including emergency technicians and nurses.

Fortunately, there was no need to attend to any serious incidents, and everything went according to plan. It was incredibly exciting to accompany all the riders from the three categories throughout almost a full week of racing, excitement, and dust... lots of dust!
