WHO HEALTH CALENDAR
International public health days offer great potential to raise awareness and understanding of health issues and to mobilise support for action, from the local community to the international stage. There are many global days observed throughout the year related to specific health issues or conditions, from Alzheimer’s disease to zoonoses; however, PAHO/WHO pays special attention to the days and weeks that PAHO/WHO Member States have established as “official” public health days for the region.
