SEMESUR MEDICAL COVERAGE AT THE POLO TOURNAMENT – SOTOGRANDE

The Summer Polo Opening Tournament was held on 1 July at the Santa María Polo Club, where SEMESUR was responsible for providing medical assistance during the event. This tournament took place at the Puente de Hierro facilities in Sotogrande (San Roque, Cádiz).

The 2022 Summer Opening Tournament was held from Friday 1 to Sunday 3 July at the Puente de Hierro facilities.

SEMESUR MEDICAL DEVICE AT THE POLO TOURNAMENT

A SEMESUR medical device was deployed during the three days of the event to provide assistance to both athletes and the public attending the tournament.

In this type of medical operation, the most common incidents are possible falls, impacts or minor injuries in the case of athletes, while dizziness caused by heat stroke is the most frequent issue among spectators.

For this reason, it is recommended to take high temperatures into account when attending these events, by wearing appropriate clothing, staying hydrated and avoiding prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.
