Ozone Generators Against COVID-19
Why Use an Ozone Generator?
An ozone generator is designed to disinfect unoccupied indoor spaces and eliminate unpleasant odours. When used correctly and according to the manufacturer's instructions, it can be an effective solution for sanitising a wide variety of professional and domestic environments without leaving moisture or chemical residues.
Good ventilation remains essential for improving indoor air quality, and surfaces should always be cleaned before any ozone treatment to maximise effectiveness. Before operating the unit, all doors and windows should be closed so the treatment can be carried out properly.
The Ozone 10G Generator is portable and fitted with a carrying handle for easy transportation.
How Does an Ozone Generator Work?
An ozone generator uses an electrical discharge to convert oxygen (O₂) into ozone (O₃).
Ozone is a highly reactive gas that oxidises organic compounds and microorganisms. After the treatment is complete, the ozone gradually decomposes back into oxygen.
How to Use the Ozone Generator
-
Connect the generator to the mains power supply.
-
Switch the unit ON.
-
Use the touch control panel to set the required treatment time.
-
To stop the treatment, press and hold the touch control for five seconds.
Safety Recommendations
For safety reasons, no people or animals should remain inside the area while the ozone generator is operating.
Once the treatment has finished, wait at least 15 minutes before re-entering the treated area, ensuring that the room is thoroughly ventilated so that any remaining ozone has dissipated and reverted to oxygen.
When operated correctly and in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations, the equipment can be used safely.
Recommended Treatment Times
Treatment duration depends on the size of the area being treated.
Cars
Recommended treatment time: 5–10 minutes
Homes
For a room of approximately 30–60 m², the recommended treatment time is 15–30 minutes.
Offices
For an office of approximately 150 m², the recommended treatment time is 90–120 minutes.
Clothing and Protective Equipment
For work clothing or other washable items, the recommended treatment time is 2–5 minutes.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is ozone dangerous?
Ozone is a powerful oxidising agent and should never be inhaled. For this reason, no one should remain inside the treatment area while the generator is operating. Once the treatment has finished, the room must be properly ventilated before it is occupied again.
Will unpleasant odours return?
Ozone treatment is most effective when the source of the odour has first been identified and cleaned. Removing the cause of the odour before carrying out the ozone treatment helps achieve longer-lasting results.
