2023 MOTOGP WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP: MORE THAN 200 INCIDENTS MANAGED

As could not be otherwise, the MotoGP Grand Prix held every year in Jerez de la Frontera brings together thousands of fans who travel from all over the country to attend one of the most anticipated events on the calendar.

The World Championship prevention and safety operation included additional reinforcement compared to previous years, based on forecasts of attendance and travel during the last weekend of April.

During these days, more than 200 medical incidents were attended to, with SEMESUR working side by side with the 112 emergency services.

SEMESUR ASSISTANCE AT THE JEREZ DE LA FRONTERA CIRCUIT

Numerous cases of heatstroke were treated inside the Ángel Nieto Circuit, although it is worth noting that in this edition temperatures were not as high or as prolonged compared to previous years. However, the importance of staying well hydrated at all times and using sun protection is always emphasised.

Semesur once again provided the medical support operation for the 2023 MotoGP World Championship during the event, offering assistance to riders, track personnel and riders’ teams (mechanics), as well as spectators in the grandstands.

A deployment of ambulances and mobile intensive care units (MICUs) was organised throughout the circuit, together with almost 200 professionals, including assistants, technicians, nurses, doctors and specialists.

Once again, SEMESUR ASSISTANCE was present at the Ángel Nieto Circuit, supporting the riders at all times during the 2023 MotoGP World Championship.
