ADVANCED MEDICAL POST – SEVILLE NIGHT RUN
The 33rd edition of the Guadalquivir Night Run took place in Seville on Friday, 24 September 2021.
Following last year's virtual edition due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the event returned to an in-person format, once again organised by the Municipal Sports Institute of Seville City Council. However, participation was limited to 10,000 runners.
SEMESUR AT THE SEVILLE NIGHT RUN
SEMESUR set up a fully equipped Advanced Medical Post (AMP), from which our team of doctors, nurses, and emergency medical technicians provided healthcare support to participants throughout the 33rd Guadalquivir Night Run 2021 in Seville.
When planning and configuring the Advanced Medical Post, several key factors were taken into account, including:
-
The large number of participants.
-
The wide age range of runners, from children to older adults.
-
Night-time temperatures.
-
The race route and total distance.
From our medical post, located next to the start and finish line, we were able to support participants throughout both the beginning and the conclusion of the Guadalquivir Night Run.
33rd Guadalquivir Night Run 2021 – Seville
This event has become the largest night race in Europe by number of participants and one of the three largest night running events in the world.
The race both started and finished on Paseo de las Delicias, following the traditional route used in previous editions through the historic centre of Seville, passing some of the city's most iconic landmarks, including San Telmo Palace, the Torre del Oro (Golden Tower), and the Macarena City Walls.
