FREMAP AND SEMESUR

At SEMESUR, we have been working in partnership with FREMAP for more than 10 years, building a close relationship that has enabled both organisations to deliver outstanding standards of medical care and achieve excellent healthcare outcomes.

FREMAP is a Social Security Mutual Insurance Association in Spain, authorised by the Ministry of Labour and Social Economy. It currently provides cover for more than 4.7 million workers and over 498,000 affiliated companies.

Its main activities include:

• Managing financial benefits and healthcare services, including rehabilitation, related to occupational accidents and work-related illnesses covered by the Spanish Social Security system, as well as preventive activities aimed at reducing these risks.

• Managing temporary disability benefits arising from common illnesses or non-work-related accidents.

• Managing benefits related to pregnancy risk and breastfeeding risk.

• Managing financial benefits for self-employed workers who cease their business activity.

• Managing benefits for parents caring for children affected by cancer or other serious illnesses.

FREMAP NATIONWIDE

FREMAP provides employers and employees with a rapid response through one of the largest healthcare networks among Spain's mutual insurance organisations, supported by highly qualified professionals across all areas of healthcare.

As a trusted healthcare partner, SEMESUR provides emergency medical support. Our 24/7 Call Centre is available every day of the year to assist patients whenever required.

Through FREMAP's 900 61 00 61 helpline, we coordinate patient transport according to each individual's medical needs by:

• Arranging an ambulance or taxi for patient collection and transfer.

• Selecting the appropriate reference hospital.

• Providing guidance on the required medical procedures.

FREMAP IN CÁDIZ

FREMAP Cádiz provides medical care for workers who have suffered occupational accidents, including rehabilitation services and specialist medical consultations.

At SEMESUR, patient management is carried out through our own internally developed coordination platform, which allows us to efficiently organise patients, drivers, and emergency medical technicians responsible for the daily transport routes.

Within the province of Cádiz there are four FREMAP Healthcare Units (UPS), located in Puerto Real, Cádiz, Jerez, and Algeciras. External consultations are also coordinated, as not all services are provided within these four centres, and patients may need to attend appointments at different hospitals depending on their treatment requirements.

SEMESUR GROUP AMBULANCE SERVICE

SEMESUR provides FREMAP patients with a fleet of four electric ambulances. Two vehicles offer a range of approximately 100 km, while the other two have a range of around 300 km, allowing longer transfers, including journeys to FREMAP Seville when required.

These ambulances are designed for non-emergency collective patient transport, enabling several patients to travel together safely and comfortably, provided that none of them has a contagious infectious disease.
